Overnight Sellout of 12,000 NFTs by CATBOTICA™

After a 10-hour Dutch auction public sale on January 19, 2022, CATBOTICA sold out 12,000 hand-drawn generative NFTs! Using innovative technology from partner firm Blockchain Foundry, the CATBOTICA team released their NFTs as ERC 721 tokens on the Ethereum chain. The public sale began at a floor of 0.2ETH per NFT, decreasing every 30 minutes until it reached a final floor of 0.08ETH per NFT.

Selling out 12,000 digital assets over 10 hours is a big feat and was a dream come true for the team’s creators. In a post-sellout AMA, Founder, Creative Director, and VFX Supervisor Will Chang stated, “As artists we were thinking, maybe we can create art and make money for it. And that’s coming true right now. And that’s huge for us. That’s the artist's dream. To the moon!”

Each Catbot NFT features different gaming elements including back, head, and paw attachments that will directly influence their in-game strengths and weaknesses. The accessories are a mix of fun and functional and include bow ties, tutus, a goldfish water gun, and spray paint cans.

CATBOTICA is partnered with Crystallized Games to develop its video game using Unreal Engine and Blender. Crystallized Games is a successful gaming development company responsible for such titles as Relic Raiders and AEW Elite General Manager.

CATBOTICA worked closely with its parent company Genesis Arc LLC and partner company Blockchain Foundry to deliver the technical components of the launch, such as generating the collection of 12,000 unique NFTs, creating the minting site, and drafting smart contracts using Blockchain Foundry’s NFTGen technology pipeline.

Blockchain Foundry develops and commercializes blockchain-based business and consumer solutions, with a focus on infrastructure for digital assets and NFTs. BCF also provides blockchain consulting services to corporate clients.
